The past got me in 2020. For a very long time I was reluctant to touch classic tracks. Progressive House music is evolving and there are many new labels and artists which inspire with modern productions. But I decided anyway because there is a time from where we and it all came.
The mix is dedicated to a special time at the end of the 90’s when the genre was so popular that top charts where occupied with Progressive House songs. Let me mention a few, Robert Miles’ “Children”, what a great opener or Energy 52’s “Cafe del Mar”.
It really started here that the genre developed into a fascinating, global phenomenon. And it is still part of a vivid rave culture.
OK, following my blog post “The Top 25 Progressive House Tracks of all Time”, I presented the mix on Facebook live in August 2020. Eventually, Facebook is very stubborn toward unlicensed live events and muted various parts.
