Cheda Ray is an Electronic producer with a great passion for Progressive House from Berlin now living in London. He has been deejaying for over 20 years and produced a range of tracks. His experience with musical medium started in his early live with mixing on magnet tape decks throughout vinyl and of course todays digital products.
The 1980’s were tan influential period in his life when his father recorded often the newest hits from Saturdays 80’s chart radio shows. Pieces of magnetic tape from the old tape machines lied everywhere around only to get glued together again after cutting all the Radio DJ’s voice-overs.

From there electronic music made its way into his life beat by beat. During school days he deejayed at Student Discos when he was fourteen and later in the 90’s he got the first Resident Gigs in the legendary night club ‘Miami’ in Germany. It was the time when he started to introduce new and fresh sound in the form of early Progressive House and House to the club crowd.
On each Sunday more than 2000 dancing Ravers and Clubbers made their way to the club mentioned. The so called ‘Afterhour’ experience was one of the best shows of this kind in the whole country. Progressive House, Trance or House did establish permanently in his sets and brought him reputation from the East of Berlin to Hamburg.
On the height of the Trance genre between 1998 and 2001 he spinned his sound at Berlin’s Loveparade next to the legendary E-Werk together with the club crew. What an amazing time.
“Good music doesn’t have and expiration date!”
Since then electronic music has changed dramatically but the fundamental repertoire never left his record cases. And yet today he is searching for the special track whether bought or produced to make the crowd go through the roof.
On the production side he has his hands on Steinberg’s Cubase and Akai which he uses since he moved his studio to London in 2012. The growing Techno and Minimal scene of Berlin separated him from the cities spirit when he was looking for a more global connection for his own musical expression in Progressive House music.
